Kent League searches for new sponsor
KENT Football
League officials are searching for a new sponsor for next season following the
withdrawal of Go Travel, it emerged today, writes Stephen McCartney.
In a statement on their website, the League said: "The Kent League is very
sorry to see such a long-standing relationship come to an end.
"The Roberts Family supported the League firstly as Winstonlead and more
recently as Go Travel, in what has been a real partnership for Kent Football.
"However, the league understand that today's world is a very different one
from both sponsorship and a business point of view."
The Kent Football League is the Senior League in the county of Kent, it's clubs
range from the North West of the county and South East London to the coastal
teams such as Deal Town (FA Vase winners in 2000) across to Hythe.
In the past ten years it has supported the progression of such clubs as
Folkestone Invicta, Tonbridge Angels, Sittingbourne and more recently Chatham
Town, Dartford and Cray Wanderers, in their efforts to reach the higher levels
of non-league football.
Following this announcement the league are actively seeking sponsors for all or
part of the League and cup competitions. Interested parties should
