Sixth summer signing for Welling

WELLING UNITED manager Adrian Pennock has completed his sixth signing of the summer after bringing midfielder Rob Owen to Park View Road.

Owen is another former Gravesend & Northfleet player and will link up again with former team-mates James Pinnock and Lee Gledhill.

Pennock said: "Rob can play centrally or wide right and is a great acquisition for the club. He is 6ft tall, strong and fit and I'm delighted to have him with us."

Owen left Gravesend at the start of last season to travel around Australia for a year but has now returned to Kent and last featured in Andy Ford's testimonial in May.
