Nationwide Conference South club Eastbourne Borough have signed
experienced midfielder Danny Chapman from Dover Athletic.
The 29-year-old, who becomes yet another Boro player to have captained his
former club, was previously with Welling United and Folkestone Invicta and
also skippered the Dr Martens League XI against the FA XI at representative
level.
As a professional Chapman made 78 appearances for Leyton Orient and also
played 12 times for Millwall.
Eastbourne Borough’s head coach Nick Greenwood said: “We are delighted to
have signed Danny. He is an experienced player who can play in the centre of
midfield or defence. His experience and competitive edge will give manager
Garry Wilson and I further options and will add another dimension to the
first-team squad.”
